Benefits and Rewards

 

At Future we believe in looking after you. Here’s a list of what we offer in the way of healthcare, financial planning provision and rewards – not to mention parties!

Holiday

We offer a generous 28 days’ holiday a year. Three of those days are fixed, because we close down at Christmas to give everyone a well-earned break, but the other 25 days can be taken at your manager’s discretion. We also offer you the chance to ‘buy’ an extra two days to bump up your total annual entitlement to 30 days.

Company Pension Scheme

Our Company Pension Scheme is open to you after you’ve successfully completed your probationary term. The company will match whatever contribution you choose to make up to 6% of your basic salary.

Private Healthcare

We offer an optional Private Healthcare Scheme at competitive rates. For an additional cost, you can also include a spouse/partner and/or children on the scheme.

Profit Improvement Scheme

To thank you for your hard work we give you a share of the company’s profit, once a year, in December. The sum paid to you is based on the increase in Future’s profit from one year to the next.

Childcare Vouchers

You can save up to 11% on the cost of childcare through our tax-free, government-recognised voucher scheme.


Maternity/Paternity Benefits

We offer more maternity and paternity leave and pay than the statutory minimum.
 
Training

We know that you’re keen to keep your skills sharp and your career moving. That’s why we provide training programmes in journalism, sales, publishing, design, software, IT and employee development. We also offer tailor-made training packages to meet the needs of a particular team – even an individual. If professional qualifications are required, we sponsor you to study for them: this covers areas including marketing, publishing, finance, HR and IT. And we’re always open to new ideas as to how we can help you develop still further.

Employee Referral Scheme

Once you join us, you can benefit from our Employee Referral Scheme. By referring other people to us, such as friends or past colleagues, you could earn yourself up to £750 if they get the job.

Company Social Activities

Sharesave Scheme

We run an optional scheme that allows you to save up to £250 per month over a three-year period to receive a guaranteed tax-free bonus at the end of that term and buy Future Network plc shares discounted by 20%.

Sabbatical Leave

This great benefit offers you the chance to take up to three months’ unpaid leave. You need to work for us for five years to qualify and, unsurprisingly, many of our employees take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.


Travel Season Ticket Loan

Once you’ve successfully completed your probationary term you’ll be eligible for an interest-free season ticket loan for travel and parking.

Professional Subscriptions/Membership

We’ll pay for the cost of membership of Inland Revenue-approved professional bodies that are related to your job role.

Company Car

You’ll be provided with a company car (or allowance) if your job and seniority warrants it.

Relocation

Dealt with on a case-by-case basis, we can offer partial financial compensation expenses to help you cover the cost of relocation.

Employee Assistance Programme

Whatever your needs, we offer you 24-hour support through our free, and totally confidential, Employee Assistance Programme. Advice is available on everything from legal and financial problems to childcare and consumer queries, and many more issues besides. Telephone and face-to-face counselling is also offered if required.

Sickness Pay

We offer 20 days’ full pay per annum plus statutory sick pay (SSP).

Life Assurance

On joining Future, you’ll be eligible for 2x your basic salary Life Assurance. Once you join the pension scheme, this will increase to 4x your basic salary and a death-in-service pension of one-third of your basic salary, plus 8.5% of your basic salary per child, up to a maximum of 34% for four or more children. Alternatively, if you’re not in the pension scheme, you’ll be offered a Lump Sum Benefit of 2x your basic salary Life Assurance.
